We’re playing a show soon in San Diego. It’s on August 17th at Martini’s Above Fourth. I’m just gonna be honest and say that we need to sell more tickets to this show. It’s called “From Bach to Bieber“. Many of you have seen versions of it. The difference is that we always change things up at every show. It keeps us engaged and interested. San Diego is such an amazing place. I have incredibly fond memories of being there. When I was a kid, we’d go down to Seaport Village as a family and then stop in Old Town for homemade tortillas and Mexican food on our way home. I’ve always hoped to live in San Diego, but it’s never come to fruition. I’ve been reading “The Art of Asking” by Amanda Palmer. It’s an incredibly inspiring account of her ascent from street performer to performance art queen, lead singer of The Dresden Dolls and prolific Kickstarter fundraiser. It’s been inspiring the crap out of me. Even before my friend, Joseph Eid told me about the book, I was already in the practice of asking for what we need. At the moment, we need help exploring this new market that is San Diego. So, here’s the pitch… Go to our Facebook ad. Share it, like it. Text your friends in San Diego and tell them about our show, buy tickets, buy tickets for your friends who are in San Diego. Some might call this shameless self-promotion. Some might find it tacky. I find it risky, but have to remind myself that it is part of my job as an indie artist to promote our work. In exchange we’ll reward you with really yummy music and be forever grateful and faithful to you as performing monkeys. We’ll also give the friends you send a free CD (if they mention the secret password “banana”) and LOTS of free hugs. P.S. The show is on a Thursday night… August 17th, 2017. Thank you!
