East Coast shows! We’re so blessed to announce we’ve been invited to play several shows on the East Coast. Four the past three years, we have had our mainstay show with Four Divo at The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center in The Villages, Florida. Since Fernando Varela and I were on America’s Got Talent together, we’ve been working together in many capacities. If you don’t know who Fernando is, you really should. He is a thrilling tenor and a dear friend and you can find all of his music here. Last year we debuted at The Front Porch in Ogunquit, Maine and have been asked to return this year. We’ll do that again this year on September 19th and 20th and tickets can be purchased by calling 207-646-4005.
This year will bring four additional venues to add to our East Coast shows schedule. We’re without question thrilled to play at each and every one of these venues. We’ll present different and unique shows at each of these venues. Our first appearances will begin in Provincetown, Massachusetts where we’ll play a short concert for a charity organization called, Camp Lightbulb which is a non-profit group dedicated to the care of guidance of LGBTQ youth ages 14-18. I feel honored to be providing entertainment for this fundraising event. That was a time in my life where I could have used some guidance myself. It’s refreshing to realize how much has changed since I was a kid. We’ll then move on to two nights at The Art House in Provincetown. Producer, Mark Cortale of Mark Cortale Presents asked us to be part of his renowned Broadway Series which bring in headline acts from Broadway, Pop, Country, Folk and Classical music. This series is wildly popular and has in the past featured Broadway superstars such as Kristin Chenoweth, Patti Lupone, Audra MacDonald, and Idina Menzel. In the 2018 season, we’ll be sharing the stage with The Indigo Girls, Jeremy Jordan, Seth Rudetsky, and Steve Grand to name a few. We’ll be performing our show, At The Corner of Symphony and Soul. This show will feature the music of Adele, Imagine Dragons, The Eagles, Elton John and Andrea Bocelli.
Next, we’ll head to The Rrazz Room in New Hope, Pennsylvania where the country’s finest cabaret acts perform. “It presents the finest local and national world-class artists from many genres of the entertainment spectrum; Broadway, Great American Songbook, Big Band, R&B, Funk, Blues, Traditional, Latin & Smooth Jazz, Rock & Pop, Doo-Wop, Comedy, Theatrical Drag, Performance Art, Las Vegas Spectacles.” (therazzroom.com) We’ll be playing our very well received show, You Had Me At Cello. The show is about our relationship and it’s beginnings both on and off stage. It features the music of Sara Bareilles, Dear Evan Hansen, ABBA and The Righteous Brothers.
Straight from the Rrazz Room, we’ll head to Lees McCrae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina to play in their summer series called FORUM with our show, From Bach to Bieber. This is the first time we’ve been invited to perform as part of a University concert series. September will take us back to The Front Porch in Maine as aforementioned to play At The Corner of Symphony and Soul.
The last of our East Coast shows will happen on October 18th, 2018 we premiere a brand new show at the most famous cabaret venue in the country: 54 Below in New York City. This is where all of the powerhouse Broadway stars, singers and composers come and play their own cabaret shows. Our new show, The Broadway Covers Project will premiere here with some yet to be announced special guests. This show will feature the music of The Waitress, Dear Evan Hansen, Spring Awakening and The Phantom of The Opera to name a few.
This will be a dream come true for both James and I and a very important box to tick in the trajectory of our career. The most exciting part about this show is that we’ll be recording this particular concert and later releasing it as a LIVE album. We’re over the moon for all of this and cannot wait to see you at one of our East Coast shows! For more info and tickets to all of these shows, please visit brandenjames.com/tour
